Importance of maintenance

PPM work is essential to successfully maintain complex and highly expensive drainage solutions. Drainage is something that is often taken for granted when it is working as expected, but to ensure its performance, essential maintenance work is required.

Case Study

Client:
Outwood Academy

Project type:
CCTV Drainage survey and unblocking

Location:
Easingwold, York

Overview

As part of the project we completed a comprehensive CCTV drainage survey to identify and clear any debris and blockages. All work was completed on time and within the programme of works.

Outwood Academy contacted Subscan to determine if we could resolve an issue they were having with flooding on the Academy roof and ground areas.

To identify the cause of the flooding we surveyed all the down pipes using our CCTV drainage survey to identify if they were clean and free from structural damage.  During this process we also identified blockages within the tennis courts that required emptying but had access issues.

To clear the blockages our team of engineers used a Cityflex Vacuumation Unit to clear the blockages and access stacks by means of Core drill & Install Fernco Inspection Point to empty the gullies and associated drainage within the tennis court areas.

All works were completed on time within the programme of works.
