Pen-y-Ghent Challenge Undertaken
This past Sunday, our dedicated Remedial Works Delivery Manager, Garry Sides, along with the spirited Farnley Falcons Under 12 girls’ rugby team, embarked on a remarkable journey by conquering the challenging 2,227 feet and 6 miles of Pen-y-Ghent. The primary aim of this strenuous climb was to raise essential funds for their 2025 Butlins weekend. Helping to ensure that every girl on the team can participate in this incredible and memorable experience.
The team’s perseverance and determination were truly inspiring. Reflecting their unwavering commitment not only to their sport but also to supporting one another in achieving their collective dreams. This event was a testament to their dedication, teamwork, and spirit.
The ascent up Pen-y-Ghent is no small feat. The trail is known for its steep and rugged terrain, requiring both physical endurance and mental fortitude.
