Garry Whyke

Business Development Manager

Garry joined the Subcan team in September 2023 as our new Business Development Manager. Garry started his career at Yorkshire Water over 40 years ago on a 2-year apprenticeship. Over the subsequent years he has numerous roles covering Records, Project and Programme Management.  Including Operations Management on Sewage Treatment Works and Pumping Stations.  During his time at Yorkshire Water he also completed a HNC in Civil Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Business (MBA).

With such vast experience within the drainage industry, the Business Development role has given him the opportunity to use this skillset and capabilities in driving the Subscan business forward. A challenge that Garry is extremely looking forward to over the coming years.

Away from business Garry enjoys taking time with the family on weekends away in the caravan. His fascination with exploring other parts of the world and seeing the real countries has seen him enjoying SCUBA trips around the world as well as partaking in off roading trips to Corsica, Portugal and recently Morocco (inc. Atlas Mountains and the Sahara). Finally, Garry also enjoys keeping fit and has trained in martial arts for over 30 years.
