Chris Sowden re-joined Subscan in November 2024 as our new Procurement Manager, bringing with him a vast wealth of experience and industry knowledge. In his role, Chris is dedicated to streamlining our procurement processes, ensuring that every project is supported with the highest quality materials and resources. His proactive collaboration with the operations and finance departments is instrumental in achieving our budgetary objectives, optimising supply chains, and managing costs effectively.

By working closely with key departments, Chris plays an essential role in enhancing efficiency and supporting the delivery of exceptional outcomes on every project. His expertise not only strengthens our commitment to quality and sustainability but also reinforces our capacity to exceed client expectations.

He has over 10 years of experience in the building supply industry and an additional 5 years dedicated to procurement.  This experience has given him a robust skill set in negotiation, strategic planning, and resource management. His background equips him with a deep understanding of both the operational and strategic aspects of procurement.  Consequently, allowing him to secure high-quality materials and resources that align with budgetary goals. With his extensive knowledge and expertise, we see Chris as a key contributor to Subscan’s strategic growth, enhancing efficiency and value across all projects.

Outside of his professional role, Chris enjoys playing sports, actively participating in both cricket and football with his local teams. When he’s not on the field, Chris values quality time with his family, holidaying in his favourite destination, Cyprus. This blend of sporting passion, family connection, and travel reflects Chris’s vibrant approach to life both on and off the job.
