Design

Tank design is optimised with the benefit of 45 years experience to give the lightest weight with the longest life. Compliance with all national and international standards as required. The WhaleVac tank is a parallel cylindrical barrel with torispherical ends shaped for maximum strength.

Vacuum System

The system is based on a mistral 7 series exhauster with a diesel powered donkey engine. Fully self contained and interchangeable in an underslung ‘pod’. Power pack contains all controls including a change over valve to allow for pressure discharge.

Overview

Subscan completed a comprehensive trial home survey within the central reservations of the highway to establish the ground conditions for the design of a new safety barrier in.

A One + appointed Subscan to carry out 37 trial holes within the central reservations of the highway to establish the ground conditions for the design of a new safety barrier in.

The project was complete on site within 4 weeks of night shifts by our highly skilled Civils Operatives alongside our GPS Surveyor. Each trial hole was identified by the client before attending on site and confirmed on site with the duty manager.

Whilst on site we also carried out WAC & Dry solids tests to determine the soil make up. All results were collated and completed within the required timeframe and produced on Trial Hole Report Cards within CAD DWG and also PDF.

All works were completed on time within the programme of works.
