We are looking for a highly capable Land Surveyor/Topographical Surveyor who has the ability to gather spatial information relating to our client’s requirements. A wide range of different equipment will be used in order to make precise measurements and the candidate must have a strong knowledge of using measurement equipment and GPS equipment. Knowledge of laser scanning and related software is also essential so that CAD drawings can be produced for our clients.
Responsibilities
You will need to travel throughout the UK on a weekly basis carrying out land/topographic surveys for our clients. Most of your time will be spent on-site using technical instruments to record the environment. The equipment you use is part of a fast-moving technologically advanced industry and keeping up to date with the latest technology is required as the business updates and changes its equipment. You will process the data you have collected using LSS and draw up results using CAD software.
Ideal Requirements
- Relevant degree or postgraduate qualification, accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
- 2 years or more experience carrying out land/topographical duties to a high standard
- Experience in using various survey equipment
- Competent in using CAD, LEICA, GPS, and other survey processing software.
- Ability to work effectively alone or as part of a team
- Able to travel across the UK with some overnight stays
- CSCS card or other similar accreditation
- Clean full UK driving licence
