Subscan UDS is currently looking for an experienced Business Development Manager for Yorkshire and the Humber with experience and knowledge of the drainage industry to sell our services to new and existing clients throughout the UK. This role provides a fantastic opportunity to join an expanding sales department, develop new client relationships, and cement existing client relationships, becoming the go-to person for drainage services in your region. This is a permanent full-time role with fantastic benefits.
As the Business Development Manager for Yorkshire and the Humber region, you will proactively sell services relating to drainage, surveying, civils, and lining while providing our clients with a high-quality service throughout. This role would suit a confident and competent sales professional who enjoys selling, meeting clients, building new relationships, and looking for the next win.
Responsibilities
- Working closely with the Operations Director to understand the internal capability and liaising with department managers to ensure works are carried out as planned for the client.
- Selling drainage, surveying, civils, and lining, including but not limited to; the cleaning and jetting of sewers and drainage, CCTV inspection to assess the condition of pipes/assets, as well as the remediation and re-lining of pipes/assets.
- Establishing a target list of clients throughout various industries, seeking new clients, and picking up relationships with existing house client and previous contacts you have worked with.
- Following up with new clients to ensure you are their first point of contact.
- Coordinating and attending meetings with clients.
- Completing regular aftercare with clients, ensuring they are satisfied with work completed.
Ideal Requirements
- Be a confident and proactive salesperson who is keen to develop existing and new business.
- Have previously worked/made sales within the drainage services/sewer/wastewater sector.
- Be an organised individual who can work methodically to organise, diarise, and follow up on planned calls.
- Have previous, industry applicable experience, possessing a basic understanding of our client’s services, including; cleaning and jetting of sewers and drainage, CCTV inspection to assess the condition of pipes/assets, and the repair/remediation and re-lining of pipes/assets.
- Be IT literate.
- Have strong social and relationship building skills.
